I am an enthusiastic, imaginative, fully qualified ESL teacher from Australia (Singleton NSW)
I have completed a 6-week intensive linguistics course with SIL Australia, undergoing examinations on language awareness, phonetics, language learning, and cultural anthropology, as well as a 120-hour ILTA accredited online eTEFL course.
I have previously taught ESL in rural Myanmar to students ranging from 5 to 30 years of age.
I specialise in accent tutoring, and have extensively studied phonetics, so I'm aware of strategies to help you learn to understand and be understood in the workplace.
I use TPR in my lessons to help learn, as well as set writing assignments and role-play.
A major project I have been working on is helping medical students who have moved to Australia learn how to effectively communicate with patients in a way they can understand. This is vital in their job, and is often overlooked.
I can tailor to suit your needs according to these parts:
Part A:
- conversational English (beginner)
- conversational English (advanced)
